Description | The US 1991 one-dollar piece is a pure silver coin made of .999 silver. This United States silver dollar bullion weighs 31.11 g (1.1 oz). The front of this US silver dollar features Lady Liberty walking to the left with the sun and sun rays down to her left. Also on the front of this silver coin are the words "Liberty" arched over the top and "In God We Trust" on the right, along with the mint date on the bottom. The back of this US silver dollar displays an eagle shield with 13 stars above the eagle head. Also on the back are the words "1 oz fine silver," "one dollar," and "United States of America." This 1991 one-dollar piece was designed by Adolph A. Weinman on the obverse side and John Mercanti on the reverse side. It was minted in both Philadelphia and San Francisco.
