A BEAUTIFUL COPPER CONDER HALFPENNY TOKEN OF JOHN DOWNING MINTED IN HUDDERSFIELD YORKSHIRE UNITED KINGDOM, DATED 1793 AD
THE SIZE IS 27.4 MM AND 9.58 GRAMS
OBVERSE – The front view of the large ornate Georgian Tea Exchange building with legend: “EAST INDIA HOUSE”
REVERSE – Grocers’ arms consisting of a shield, with a griffin on either side, surmounted by a saddled camel over a banner inscribed “GOD GRANT GRACE” with legend above and below: “HALFPENNY 1793”
