The obverse usually had the emperor (sometimes with his son or the Empress) with bust facing or sitting, often holding a cross or other religious object(s), even parts of the scriptures
The reverse had a large letter indicating the coin denomination according to numerology (M or mu = 40, K or kappa = 20, I or iota = 10, and E or epsilon = 5), or a series of X's.
This large coin was minted in the ancient city of Antioch ( Ἀντιόχεια) in what is now southern Turkey near the border with Syria
