The reverse depicting a globe upon a Roman column within the legend "LIBERTY AND UNION, NOW AND FOREVER, ONE AND INSEPARABLE", on the base of the column, "I STILL LIVE" with Union shield below
A fitting tribute minted shortly after the venerable statesman's 1852 death
Webster attended Dartmouth College and won fame as a lawyer in the Dartmouth College Case (alluded to on the reverse of this medal)
