This is a large 63 mm (2 ½ inch) Bronze Medal commemorating the Heroic Apollo 16 Mission in April 1972
The medal is embedded in an 80 X 80 X 26mm (3 1/8 X 3 1/8 X 1 inch) block of Lucite
The medal and block weigh 318 grams (11.2 ounces)
The obverse shows Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly, Mission Commander John Young, and Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke
