Because the coins were minted in the years leading up to the 1988 Games, the coins have the dates 1985 (2), 1986 (4), and 1987 (4)
These coins are in proof finish and minted in sterling silver (92.5% silver, 7.5 % copper)
The coins also have edge lettering which reads "XV Olympic Winter Games"
Each coin is 1 troy ounce of silver and weighs 34.07 grams and is a diameter of 40 mm
