The strike is needle sharp with only a trace of friction on reverse on the highest points of some of the leaves on the wreath
The obverse shows a trace of friction on McKinley's bow tie
The 1901 official inaugural medal is much smaller than this one but it uses an obverse design virtually identical to this one
