The obverse appears to have been polished at some point
The reverse appears to have been filled with lead to perhaps provide stiffness/stability to the electrotype
The obverse design of the “To Arms” medal was designed by Roiné with the reverse completed by Adolphe Rivet
Roiné had returned to France from America and had only been able to create the obverse side before his death on April 11,1916
