This medal is 47 x 64 mm (just over 1 ¾ X 2 ½ inches), 73-gram (2.5 ounce) 1900 French Art Nouveau bronze medal/plaquette sculpted by Frédéric Vernon (1858-1912) commemorating a banquet held for French Mayors on September 22,1900
The medal is marked BRONZE on the edge with a the Monnaie de Paris Cornucopia mint mark
