This US Mint 1/4 Troy Ounce “Proof” Platinum Eagle is composed of 99.95% Platinum and was minted at the West Point Mint (“W”)
They are also the only platinum coins in the world whose face value, purity, and weight are guaranteed by the government of the United States
coin ever issued, which contains one troy ounce of pure platinum and measures 32.7mm in diameter
The obverse, or front, of the coin was designed by U.S
The bullion versions of the coin, which featured the Statue of Liberty on the obverse and a soaring eagle on the reverse, saw a shift in demand for certain denominations
