EX Rare 1930 Herbert Hoover Large Head Small Size Presidential Medal with Philadelphia Mint Reverse
The obverse was engraved by John Ray Sinnock and the reverse was engraved by George Morgan
It is similar to the small Presidential Inaugural but the reverse has UNITED STATES MINT PHILADELPHIA around a defiant eagle to the left perched atop a US shield with the date 1930 to the left
These medals should be distinguished from miniatures of the regular Presidential Series medals which exactly replicate obverse and reverse of their larger counterparts
These small size medals range in size from 33.2 mm (Truman) to 33.8 mm (Harding)
