This is the COMMEMORATION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF IRISH CURRENCY medal, issued in 1976 by the International Society of Postmasters and minted by the Franklin Mint in solid sterling silver
The medal weighs roughly .87 ounces (25 grams) of 925 sterling silver
It is stamped with the text ‘STERLING’ and measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter
