Obverse has "CHes Pfaff" at top of field, then some grapes and leaves, "Restaurant" fully across the middle of the field, with "647" under it, and "Broadway, NY" around lower edge of the field The reverse has the image of a standing monk and no wording Off-center strikes on both sides - more pronounced on reverse Obverse has a few small pits, visible in photo Civil War tokens are fascinating bits of history that were privately minted approximately 150 years ago to make up for a severe shortage of government-issued coinage during the war
