His coins showed Caesar’s title within a wreath and the Emperor’s name 'TIB' or his mother, Julia (IOYLIA), and the year of his reign on the reverse
These are the largerprutot and the smaller lepton minted under many of the Judaean kings
One Prutah was worth two lepta (singular lepton), which was the smallest denomination minted by the kings of the Hasmonean and Herodian Dynasties
The actual size of a prutah is between 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch in diameter
