This reverse of this coin features LIBERTAS , the goddess who personified liberty
The America Eagle coins minted today depict one of the most beautiful presentations of the Standing Liberty ever struck
By the 3rd century A.D., the sestertius had become a smaller bronze coin, and after Gallienus' reign (A.D. 253-268), it was no longer minted
The reverse of the coin also has the letters S and C. This is an abbreviation of Senatus Consulto which indicates the coin was struck with the support and decree of the Roman Senate
This thick coin is 26-28 mm in diameter and weighs in at 15.61 gm
